CLASSIC NICARAGUA (8 Days/7 Nights)
Managua, Leon, Granada, Ometepe.

Meal codes: (B) = Breakfast, (L) = Lunch, (D) = Dinner.

Day 1: Arrive Managua (No meals.)
We will pick you up at the airport and take you to Hotel Los Robles, where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Managua-Leon (B,L)
Morning city tour of Managua. After lunch drive to Leon with your guide, stopping en route to visit the ruins of Leon Viejo. Overnight at Hotel El Convento. (B,L)

Day 3: Leon (B,L)
In the morning explore Leon with your guide. Then, in the afternoon see the geysers of San Jacinto. Overnight at Hotel El Convento. (B,L)

Day 4: Leon-Granada (B,L)
After breakfast drive to the town of Masaya with your guide to visit the markets where Nicaraguan crafts (and most everything else) are sold. Then on to the “Pueblos Blancos,” the cradle of Nicaragua’s craft tradition. Mid to late afternoon in Granada. Overnight at Casona de los Estrada. (B,L)

Day 5: Granada (B,L)
Morning horse-drawn carriage tour of Granada with your guide. Afternoon boat tour of Lake Nicaragua. Overnight at Casona de los Estradas. (B,L)

Day 6: Granada (B,L)
Morning visit with your guide to Mombacho Volcano. Afternoon free to explore Granada on your own. Overnight at Casona de los Estrada. (B,L)

Day 7: Granada-Ometepe-Granada (B,L)
Early morning departure with your guide for the drive to make to make the ferry to Ometepe Island. All day to explore Ometepe. Late afternoon ferry back to the mainland. Drive back to Granada. Overnight at Casona de los Estrada. (B,L)

Day 8: Departure (No meals.)
You will be driven to the Managua Airport, arriving at least 2-3 hours before the departure of your flight back home.

Tour includes:
Accommodations as featured in the itinerary. Meals as indicated in the itinerary (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), with one non-alcoholic drink with each included meal. All land transportation in modern vehicle with a/c and soft drink during the trip. Tours as specified in the itinerary. The services of an English-speaking guide from Day 1 through Day 8.

Not included:
Costs of obtaining passports, visas or tourist cards (US$5 p/p). Excess baggage fees; personal expenses such as room service, beverages and laundry; gratuities to tour escorts, guides or drivers; personal communications charges; international airfare and airport departure taxes (US$35 p/p); tax increases or new taxes charged for services that were not taxed at the time the booking was made; excess mileage carried out at the request of the client; sightseeing or meals not specified in the itinerary; personal trip cancellation insurance coverage (recommended).
